Terceira Parcela Do Auxílio Emergencial

Entornointeligente.com / SUVA, May 22 (Xinhua) — Without the Communist Party of China (CPC), there would be no dynamic China today, and it is the CPC that has empowered the nation to emerge from deep humiliation and attain peace and prosperity, a Fijian expert has said.

“Without the CPC, China would probably be fragmented into colonies of the (then) major Western powers. The CPC empowered the nation to emerge from deep humiliation. The CPC gave the Chinese people dignity and the means to attain peace and prosperity,” said Joseph Veramu, a higher education research consultant for Fiji National University.

The CPC has been making great efforts in raising the standard of living and the quality of life of the Chinese people, he said, adding that the strength of the CPC comes from the fact that it devotes great attention to the welfare of the Chinese people.

“Through its 100 years’ journey, (the CPC) has empowered and rejuvenated the people to work diligently towards poverty eradication and sustainable national development,” he said.

Veramu noted the CPC has a symbiotic relationship with the Chinese people, saying that “the CPC represents the Chinese people … The CPC and the Chinese people are one.”

What the CPC has done and is doing benefit the Chinese people, he said, citing China’s completion of its poverty eradication target as “truly one of the greatest achievements of socialism.”

Taking China’s fight against COVID-19 as another example, Veramu said that China had successfully sequenced the virus in a short time and reported in a timely manner the genetic information to the World Health Organization, and has effectively contained the virus from spreading.

He stressed that he was also very impressed that, despite the pandemic, China’s economy grew vibrantly in 2020.

“I am observing that the CPC has always proactively risen to face challenges, such as the pandemic, and is rejuvenated and strengthened by it to do even better than before,” he said.

Veramu also said that China’s reform and opening-up is “a testament to the great vision and determination of the CPC to move on the sustainable road of economic reform,” and helped “set the stage for the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).”

“Developing nations see the BRI as a natural progression from the visionary action of China’s reform (and opening-up) from (more than) 40 years ago,” he said.

Infrastructure constructed under the BRI has “facilitated economic growth,” and “increased Internet connectivity and technological innovation,” he added.

China has already increased cooperation with Pacific nations under the BRI framework, he said, adding that nations like Fiji can learn a lot from China’s achievements. Enditem
